American Injustices Portrayed in Modern Film
Version 1

This was the first iteration of a unique essay that I was tasked with writing. The scope of this essay was to examine a comedian who offers some form of take on race by using their primary medium; comedy. I chose to do a bit of research and ultimately write on one of my favorite comedians, the late Bernie Mac. This essay offers a bit of background dialogue on some of the potential environmental factors that contributed to the content of Mac’s act.

Editor Input

For this essay, I reached out to two individuals but unfortunately, I only received correspondence from one peer. Nevertheless, I was offered valuable feedback by my peer Lucas J. as well as from my professor and the Writing Commons of Kent State University’s Library. This essay culminated itself to be the final essay that I wrote within my College Writing I class. I would like to conclusively thank all of my peers for their valuable feedback throughout the semester as well as Professor Bill Morris for his continued support in perfecting my writing.
